Supporting Young Adults on the Path Ahead

Graduating from high school is a major milestone, and an exciting time full of opportunities and choices. At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Coastal & Northern New Jersey, we know that mentorship can continue to make a lasting impact during this transition into adulthood.

Big Futures is designed for young adults ages 18–25 who are graduating from high school or recently graduated, providing continued mentorship as they navigate their next steps. The program builds on the strong relationships formed through our Community-Based and workplace mentoring programs, transitioning our “Littles” to “Graduates”, and continuing the guidance, resources, and support they need during this important stage of life.

Continuing the Mentorship Journey

Through Big Futures, Graduates remain matched with their mentor while gaining access to additional resources and opportunities that support post-secondary goals. The program encourages independent growth while maintaining a trusted connection, with updated guidelines that reflect the evolving mentoring relationship between young adults and their mentors.

With support from a dedicated Big Futures Case Manager and community partners, participants can explore education, career, and personal development opportunities with confidence.

• Discover career options and build professional skills
• Connect with internships, jobs, and community programs
• Set goals and develop a plan for the future

By continuing the mentoring relationship, Graduates can navigate the transition to adulthood with encouragement, guidance, and the support of a strong community.
