We’re turning back the clock – and lacing up our bowling shoes – for this year’s Bowl for Kids’ Sake events! In honor of our 50th anniversary, our signature fundraiser is going full disco as we celebrate five decades of mentorship and the life-changing power of one-to-one relationships.

Taking place at bowling lanes across our counties this March, Bowl for Kids’ Sake invites individuals, teams, and corporate partners to raise critical funds in support of local youth. Expect high-energy fun, themed flair, and a whole lot of community impact.

While bowling is part of the experience, Bowl for Kids’ Sake is first and foremost a celebration of fundraising and mentorship. Every dollar raised helps support professionally matched and supported mentoring relationships that empower young people to build confidence, succeed academically, and envision brighter futures.

“You don’t need to be a great bowler to make a difference—just someone who believes in the potential of young people,” said William Salcedo, Executive Director of BBBSCNNJ. “As we celebrate 50 years of mentorship, Bowl for Kids’ Sake is a reminder that when our community shows up, young people thrive.”

How It Works

Participants form teams of five to six, create personalized fundraising pages, and rally support from friends, family, and colleagues. Once fundraising goals are met, teams attend their selected event to enjoy two hours of bowling, food, music, prizes, and plenty of disco-themed fun. While youth are welcome to attend, Bowl for Kids’ Sake is primarily an adult-driven fundraising event.

In addition to public events, BBBSCNNJ will also host several private Bowl for Kids’ Sake celebrations with corporate partners, including a Hackensack Meridian Health corporate event, the Big Bank Challenge, and a Land Development & Real Estate event.

Prizes, Sponsorships & Impact

Fundraising incentives and awards will be offered throughout the campaign, including recognition for top fundraising teams, best bowling performance, and standout disco spirit. Sponsorship opportunities range from $350 to $5,050 and include brand visibility through event signage, digital promotion, and on-site recognition.

Most importantly, proceeds from Bowl for Kids’ Sake directly support BBBSCNNJ’s mentoring programs -helping ensure more young people have access to the guidance, encouragement, and support of a caring adult.
