Big Brothers Big Sisters of Coastal & Northern New Jersey was once again proud to partner with Six Flags Hurricane Harbor New Jersey for the annual World’s Largest Swimming Lesson, a global initiative focused on teaching children lifesaving water safety skills.

Nearly 150 Littles, Bigs, and family members joined the event, where participants learned essential swimming and water safety techniques from trained aquatics professionals before enjoying a fun-filled day together at Hurricane Harbor and Six Flags Great Adventure. By making swim education more accessible, the event helped build confidence in the water while reinforcing the importance of drowning prevention and safe summer recreation. According to the World Waterpark Association, formal swim lessons can reduce a child’s risk of drowning by as much as 88%.
